Though I am not 100% sure, this bullet may be what McKee & Mason identify as a .50 caliber Confederate carbine bullet (M&M 440). It measures approximately .50 inches in diameter and .83 inches in length. It weighs approximately 3/4 of an ounce. As you can see in the additional enlargement pictures, it has a light 3rd ring at its rim. It has a nice white patina with some surface chipping at its base and tip. This bullet is from a Georgia collection and will be an excellent addition to any excavated Civil War bullet or general relic collection.
