Comments: The design of this buckle indicates that it was likely manufactured by Emerson Gaylord, a wartime manufacturer who supplied the government and states with belt buckles and other accoutrements. If you are looking for one off the best excavated examples, then this buckle is for you. It will be an excellent addition to any Civil War buckle, plate, or general relic collection.
