US General Service Eagle Button

Construction: Convex, two-piece.
Approximate size: 20 mm.
Condition: Excellent, excavated, secure shank present. This eagle button has plenty of gilt.  The back mark is weak with a few letters visible with a light and loupe.  No pushes, cracks, breaks, or repairs.
Comments:  General service eagle buttons with gilt are a rare find and this one will be an excellent addition to any excavated Civil War button or general relic collection.
