Item: Excavated US horse bridle rosette.
Condition: Very good, excavated. Its brass front has an awesome brown patina with areas of tan-white coloring, from soil residue and ground action, very nicely highlighting the raised letters "US" as well as the entire front. The rear has plenty of remaining solder but is missing its attachment bar. There is a dent in the rim at about the 2 oçlock position which is basically unnoticeable from the front view. This relic has no cracks, breaks, waves, or repairs.
Comments: This US rosette will be an excellent addition to any excavated Civil War cavalry, horse equipment, or general relic collection.
Recovered: Unknown
Approximate size: 2 inch diameter
