Backmark: Difficult to see but believed to be "HORSTMANN/N.Y. & PHI"
Construction: Convex, two-piece.
Approximate size: 15 mm.
Condition: Very good, excavated, secure shank present. Ample gilt still present and moderate ground action with no pushes, cracks, breaks, or repairs.
Comments: On the rear of this button the digger printed, in black lettering, "CEDAR CREEK" which is the button's recovery location. It was acquired directly from the digger and will be an excellent addition to any excavated Civil War button or general relic collection.
