US Model 1842 Musket Lock

This excavated US model 1842 musket lock is constructed of iron and was recovered in Culpeper, VA. Though rusty, the iron is solid and you will notice that the hammer is in the cocked position. This musket lock will be an excellent addition to any excavated Civil War campsite, battlefield, or general relic collection.
