Item: Virginia State Seal Coat Button - Flattened

Construction: Convex, two-piece.
Approximate size: 23-24 mm. due to distortion.
Condition: Flattened, excavated, missing back. This is the front portion only which has been mashed flat. The state seal on the face is still very visible with traces of gilt highlighting the figures of Virtus and Tyranny as well as the letters of "VIRGINIA" and state motto "SIC SEMPER TYRANNIS".
