A Walking Stick Dated 1859 - Inscribed

This inscribed and dated pre-Civil War presentation walking stick is in very good condition for its age as it is over 165 years old. It measures approximately 34 inches in length and is adorned with a silver top with a floral design inscribed "To Judge Whitney from Dick 1859". In a cursory search of Judge Whitney, I found a Judge Cyrus Whitney of Oswego, NY matching the period. The dark brown wood is solid. This is an excellent opportunity to add a unique piece of early americana presented during a most interesting time of US history.
